Loyola Health Centre is managed by the Sisters of St Joseph of Tarbes, Mysore Province. A decade ago the Jesuit provincial at that time extended an invitation to initiate and collaborate in this service of Pannur-Manvi Mission. Responding to that invitation, the pioneers Sr Juliana D'Souza, Sr Gracy Fernandes, Srs Vita Lobo and Sr Priya started their mission on 5/7/2010.
Congregation of Sisters of St Joseph of Tarbes was born in the year 1843 on the eve of the Assumption of our Mother Mary by the six young girls of Contous, in the diocese of Tarbes in France. The main Apostolate of our congregation was education. Responding to the call for missions in far away countries, a group of sisters reached Bangalore in 1883 to Bowring Hospital.
