Loyola School

HISTORY

HISTORY

If a person comes to Manvi bus stand and asks for Loyola School anybody in the bus stand will immediately be able to tell its location. It is mainly because it has a very good name in Raichur District. In the year 2014-15 it has been recognised as one of the best schools in Raichur district. It all began in 2004. Jesuit Fathers who were working in Pannur felt that only through education they could contribute in bringing change in the caste ridden society. With the intention to give the best education to the poorest of the poor of the society this school was started. We are happy to note that same desire and motto has been carried forward over the years. The school caters to the children from the villages who are deprived of basic quality education in the villages, specially the children of the lower strata. Initially, there were only 50 students, most of them were found grazing the cattle in the villages. Fathers and sisters in the early stage identified them in different villages and brought them to Manvi for education.

Over the past years the school has trained thousands of such students. Children who did not even dream of going to school have passed with high first clas in the SSLC examinations. Some of them have gone on to become engineers and doctors. Much credit goes to the dedicated staff. They have sacrificed their spare time in guiding our students.
